The aim of the revitalization and reconstruction process was to remodel the existing apartments at the lower floors and to completely change the attic appearance of a Gründerzeit period building (19th century), both constructively and functionally . The redesign considered the economical aspect as well as wishes of the investor for new student apartments in the attic. The project comprised detail elaboration, permit drawings and construction surveillance.

Wrapping Up with Key Insights
The revitalization of the building included a complete recovery of the facade, along with attic reorganization to serve the purpose of housing units. Over a careful consideration of conditions for re-organization of the space for contemporary use, the construction site was challenging and daily monitoring of the designed solutions and their realization necessary, along with details´ elaborations and change on the site.
